Dr. Eric Krauss, our Chief of Staff, received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 from The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Before coming to Franklin County Animal Hospital in 2000, he worked in Christiansburg and Roanoke in small animal practices and in an emergency/critical care facility. His areas of professional interest include orthopedic surgery, cardiology, emergency medicine, and diagnostic ultrasound.
When not working or chasing his children, Dr. Krauss enjoys hunting, photography, and just being outdoors. He lives in Callaway with his wife, five children, six cats, five dogs, 12 goats, and entirely too many chickens. He is an active member of Highland United Methodist Church and enjoys assisting with youth group activities.
