Our Veterinarians
Dr. Eric Krauss and his wife, Sherri, have owned Franklin County Animal Hospital since January, 2000. Dr. Krauss received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 from The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Before coming to Franklin County, he worked in Christiansburg and Roanoke in small animal practices and in an emergency/critical care facility. His areas of professional interest include orthopaedic surgery, cardiology, and diagnostic ultrasound. When not working or chasing his children he enjoys hunting, photography, and just being outdoors. Dr. Krauss lives in Callaway with his wife, four children, ten goats, three cats, a Labrador Retreiver named "Oscar," and entirely too many chickens.
Dr. Jonathan Amos is a full-time associate. He joined the practice after graduating from The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2004. Dr. Amos, a Roanoke native, and his wife, Amanda, live in the Grassy Hill area of the county with their two cats and two dogs. His areas of professional interest include ultrasonography and cardiology. In his free time he enjoys woodworking, playing pool, hiking, traveling and watching football. Go Hokies!
Dr. Natalie McLaughlin has been with Franklin County Animal Hospital since graduating from The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2000. Her areas of interest include behavioral medicine and endocrinology. Dr. McLaughlin lives in Roanoke with her husband Doug, their two sons, three dogs and two cats.
